Mökki Modular Studios, the small building wing of Field Studio Architects, have launched an exciting new range of prefabricated garden rooms.
What makes the Mökki range exciting, is the use of CNC machined Spruce plywood as the core structure. Not only does the plywood form the different insulated modules, but it also forms the interior lining. Creating a stylish, pared-down interior which has a Scandinavian vibe.
Externally, the garden rooms are clad with Siberian Larch, which is a highly durable cladding material that has a long maintenance-free lifespan. Starting out a honey colour, it will weather to a mellow silver-grey as it ages.
We particularly like how the Mökki team have detailed the larch and plywood to create the covered veranda area.
Cleverly, the window frames have also been engineered using plywood. A horizontal strengthening band has been fitted into the window frame. The designers have positioned it so that it sits perfectly at desk height, so won't block the view as you work!
The door into the studio is a high spec Rationel timber and aluminium composite door. The dark grey finish, creating a nice contrast with the otherwise natural palette.
The Mökki Modular Studio is available in two standard sizes, each one with 12 different layout options.
Mökki Modular Studios are prefabricated in Devon and can be installed nationwide.
