Bespoke garden room designers, like Miniature Manors, take the time to listen to their clients. Design consultations allow them to pick up on likes and dislikes, and highlight unique design details that they can incorporate into their garden room design ideas.
This attention to detail is showcased in this bespoke L-shaped garden office and storage room with a unique feature wall.
During design consultations, Miniature Manors clients mentioned that they were looking for something a little more exciting than a timber-clad box. They also said that they had seen a great green wall at an airport and that it would be cool to implement something similar into their garden room.
The Miniature Manors designers ran with this and created a 3d visualisation of what this would look like, and their clients loved it!
Sitting on a footprint of 9m x 3.3m, the garden room is L-shaped, creating two rooms - a spacious office and a practical storage room. The green wall has been installed on the storage wing.
As we can see, a striking feature wall has been created on the end elevation. There is a secret door into the storage room amidst the plants!
It is a clever choice, having added a band of greenery in the front elevation too.
We have seen living walls on garden rooms before and know that incorporating the irrigation systems while protecting the core structure of the garden room can be tricky. Also, having a living wall here at Garden Room HQ, we know that they need quite a bit of tending to stay looking good!
So, we think Miniature Manors and their clients choice to use artificial plants is a good decision. As we can see, the plants, in their different tones and textures look great, and will continue to look good all year round.
The green wall has been mixed with Hardie Plank, a highly durable cement fibre board that does not require painting to maintain its colour.
Spotlights have been fitted in the decking boards and will cast light up the wall highlighting the different colours and textures.
Large uPVC sliding doors lead into the office. As we can see, the plastered and decorated interior has created a modern, light-filled workspace.
Miniature Manors clients made this comment about the project:
Richard and his team were simply awesome; the attention to detail and professionalism from start to finish was great."
