Tudor style garden room

Well, isn't this Tudor style garden room by Miniature Manors lovely. It is super to see traditional detailing and craftmanship mixed with modern finishes that ensure a well-insulated space that will be comfortable to use all year round.
Miniature Manors work in the South East of England. Unlike many other garden room companies, they offer bespoke designs in both contemporary and traditional styles.
Miniature Manors clients live in a mock Tudor house and wanted to replicate the style of the main house in their new garden room. The Miniature Manors team work closely with each client to create a design that works for them. In this case, the design stage took three months and went through five different design variations before settling on this one.
4m tall garden room
The garden room is 4m wide by 4m deep. The pitched roof design is 4m tall at its highest point, the ridge. Because it is sited within 2m of a boundary, it required Planning Permission to be built. The Miniature Manors team handled this application on their client's behalf.
Traditional Oak framework
Rather than go with their traditional timber framework, the Miniature Manors carpenters created a beautifully detailed Oak framework, not a feature we often see in garden room design.
The Oak frame was then insulated, ensuring the room will be a comfortable place to spend time all year round.
The exterior has been finished with a mix of black featheredge boards and white render. The Tudor detailing on the gable end replicates the pattern on the main house.
The roof is another lovely detail. The Miniature Manors team sourced some reclaimed clay tiles. They have finished the roof with decorative finials at each end of the ridge.
Vaulted ceiling
The pitched roofline creates a wonderful interior space with a vaulted ceiling. A vaulted ceiling really does add a different dimension to the space compared to 2.5m designs with flat ceilings.
Pelmet lighting has been added to accentuate the vaulted space.
The interior of the garden room has been plastered and decorated. Look through the open doors, and you can also see a smart panelling detail on the rear wall.
Oak flooring has been laid in the room to tie in with the Oak decking outside the room.
