Executive Garden Rooms have recently completed this large garden room in London. One of the clients main design briefs was that the foundation system should be fox proof.
Executive Garden Rooms choose to use a concrete slab foundation for their buildings and so they were able to meet this brief easily. Foxes are a real concern in urban areas and people fear them burrowing under garden rooms with pad or plinth foundations, but a solid concrete slab overcomes this.
At 4.3 meters by 3.7 meters this is a large room but it sits nicely at the end of the garden and left room for a storage shed supplied by another company to be slotted in beside.
As well as supplying the garden room building the Executive Garden Rooms team undertook the site clearance and replaced boundary fencing.
Well specified
All Executive Garden Rooms are built to Building Regulation standards and are finished internally like a new room in a house with fully plastered and decorated interior and quality wood flooring.
The electrical system which included LED internal and external downlights, a smoke alarm and telephone point. Executive Garden Rooms electrician undertook the connection of the electrical system to the mains supply as part of the overall project – some suppliers ask you to organise this aspect.
