SIPS Garden Rooms have recently completed this contemporary garden room which unusually for contemporary designs features a pitched roof.
SIPS Garden Rooms clients are a artist and photographer and they wanted to create a shared space that worked for both of them. The pitched roof allows for windows in the gable end of the building which offers valuable extra light. The pitched roof also provides extra height for the use of photography lights and the artists easel.
Because of the height of the building and its location tight to the boundary of the garden this building couldn’t be built under the Permitted Development rules and full Planning Permission was required.
This build is eco friendly thanks to the high levels of insulation provided by the SIPS construction. It also features recycled roof tiles and sits on eco friendly alloy pile foundations which you can see in the picture below.
