A few months ago we shared some concept drawings for a series of contemporary holiday pods that Building With Frames had been commissioned to build. Well, the pods are now in place, and we thought it interesting to share some of the photos of this happening and some new visuals of the interior.
Building With Frames supplied these pods on a turnkey basis, meaning they handled the whole project on their client’s behalf, meeting the clients specific brief. Each of the 3.5m x 8.5m pods have been designed to create luxury, self-contained accommodation for a couple. As you can see from these interior visuals, an open plan interior with living and sleeping space has been created. At one end an L-shaped kitchen sits beside the shower room. As you can see from the scale images of the interior configuration, the pod has a spacious feel.
The pods have been designed to fully comply with Building Regulations. While these pods are being used as holiday accommodation, Building With Frames can create a similar specification building for domestic situations too, for instance for use as a granny annexe or graduate pad.
Installed in a matter of hours
Building With Frames are off-site construction specialists and constructed each of the holiday pods in their workshops. This allows them to deliver the building complete, just needing the connections to the mains services.
You can see from these images that the Building With Frames team builds the pods side by side in their workshops. They are then lifted on to a lorry and transported to the site where a tractor and trailer manoeuvre them onto a pre-prepared base. This process takes just a matter of hours to complete.
