What made you choose Executive Garden Rooms as your preferred supplier?
I searched the web extensively and opted for EGR on the grounds that they appeared to offer a first class service and a high quality product both in aesthetic and technical terms. Many of the other garden rooms looked little better than glorified garden sheds and I doubted their longevity. Given that even the cheaper products on offer represent a considerable investment, in addition to the immediate need for the extra space, it would seem sensible to view this in terms of adding value to our property and thus recouping this investment long-term, therefore good building standards are a must.

I can’t speak more highly of the work done by Ben and his team. I knew I was in good hands right from his first visit, when we discussed my ideas at length and he gave me plenty of expert advice before I made my decision. I was impressed by the fact that they only do one job at a time and Ben is permanently on site to project-manage. We live in a typical London terraced house so the only access to the garden is through our somewhat cramped flat and it could have been an utter nightmare, particularly during the foundations-laying phase, plus of course I didn’t want to upset the people living in the upstairs flats by making a mess of the common hallway. No problem on that score, thanks to the extreme care they took to cover carpets and clean up after every day’s work.
The whole job went incredibly smoothly, all the different trades-people were magnificent, they worked amazingly hard and always with a smile so it was a real pleasure to have them around the house and garden, indeed I felt quite tearful when it came to say goodbye, not the usual feeling when you’ve “had the builders in”! This is mainly due to Ben’s amazing people management skills, a lot of CEOs of much bigger outfits could learn a lot from his utterly unflappable approach. I was consulted on every last detail of the job and all the admin, including the planning permission was organised by the super-efficient and very friendly Alison who runs the office.
The end result is a deluxe, energy-efficient office space for me and a really good–looking addition to our home that blends in beautifully with its surroundings and has done nothing to detract from the appeal of our lovely garden in which you can easily forget you are only minutes away from the heart of London. I would recommend Ben and Alison and their team unreservedly to anyone wanting a superb new room, designed and built to the highest standards, and not involving any stress.
