Some people buy garden rooms as workplaces, others as a place to exercise or be creative. A growing trend is to add a garden room as an entertainment space, where you can host a cosy dinner party during the winter months and in the warmer months, push back the doors, letting parties spill out into the garden.
This impressive garden entertainment room is by Miniature Manors. In a first for projects we've written about on The Garden Room Guide, this garden dining room features an indoor barbecue.
Miniature Manors clients are keen hosts holding regular gatherings for family and friends. They had the idea of creating an insulated outdoor dining room in the corner of their garden. They chose to work with West Sussex based Miniature Manors who specialise in bespoke garden room design.
Having followed Miniature Manor's work for many years, we are always impressed at how they really do tailor a design around their customers' requirements. Explore the archive of Miniature Manors projects we have featured, and you will see how they successfully create sleek contemporary designs and designs that offer more traditional detailing.
As we can see from the images, this outdoor dining room has a sharp contemporary aesthetic. The garden room has been clad externally in Ecoscape slatted cladding, which is becoming a popular choice in garden room design. The slatted profile adds a lot of character to the exterior walls and will require little maintenance as it is a composite board, so it will not lose its colour or rot. It comes with a 25-year manufactures warranty.
The Spiced Oak slatted cladding has been mixed with dark grey Aluminium bi-fold doors, which, when folded back, open a large section of the room out onto the garden - a lovely feature!
Indoor South African Braai
The garden dining room sits on a footprint of 5.5m x 4m and features a high-spec plastered and decorated finish, but the star of the show is the indoor barbecue. It is by www.thebraaiman.com and is an authentic South African braai.
Miniature Manors handled the installation of the indoor barbecue as part of their service. This included incorporating the relevant fireproofing measures into the structure.
Rather than fitting laminate flooring as they would normally do, Miniature Manors laid a luxury vinyl flooring, completing it with skirting boards.
A wrap-around composite decking extends the entertaining space out into the garden.
Miniature Manors focus their work in East Sussex, Kent, Surrey and West Sussex.
