Garden gym & shed

It has become fashionable to create a garden room that has more than one use. When working with a company such as Crusoe Garden Rooms, this is relatively easy to achieve. Recently, the Crusoe team were commissioned by a client to tailor one of their designs so that it could be used as a garden gym & shed.

Crusoe’s client chose their Sanctuary Range as the starting point for their customised building. The Sanctuary Range is 7 meters wide by 3 meters deep. Key features of the design include a four-pane set of sliding doors and narrow floor to ceiling windows on either side. There is a further long window on the side wall.

Customised to incorporate a storage shed

As standard, Crusoe’s Sanctuary Range would remain as one large room. With this project though, the client wanted to create a discreet storage area. To achieve this, the Crusoe team fitted a partition wall along the right-hand side of the room, incorporating one of the long windows. The storage room has its own access at the side of the building. A fully glazed door with double glazing and multi-point locking system was used. Coupled with the long window, this will ensure the shed area has natural light coming in.

Fully crafted on-site

Crusoe Garden Rooms craft their buildings from scratch on-site. Some people fear that this method will take much longer than other systems which are partly constructed before delivery. This isn’t the case, this building took ten days to fully complete, including plastering and decorating the interior. In fact, the client commented on the speed:
