The team at Miniature Manors goes the extra mile to ensure their projects fulfil their clients' visions.
While many garden room companies shy away from taking on additional tasks, especially those involving restoration, and prefer to focus solely on installing their buildings, Miniature Manors is happy to undertake extra tasks to ensure a successful project for their clients.
A project in East Sussex exemplifies this approach. Miniature Manors' clients wanted to create a home office and family room at the end of their garden, adjacent to an existing garage. As the garage was ageing, the owners felt it would detract from the new garden office.
During the initial consultations, Miniature Manors proposed several suggestions for renovating the garage's exterior to aesthetically tie the buildings together.
They recommended cladding the exterior of the garage with the same Boothbay Blue James Hardie cement fibre cladding chosen for the garden room. Additionally, they suggested replacing the soffit boards on the roof canopy and spraying the uPVC doors and windows Anthracite Grey to match the new garden room's doors and windows.
The result is two self-contained buildings that appear as a cohesive pair, despite being constructed at different times by different companies.
Garden Office with Covered Porch Area
The new building, serving as a home office and family space, occupies a footprint of 5m x 3m.
A distinctive feature of this building is the recessed front elevation with a roof canopy and side cheek detail, creating a welcoming porch area. Finished with a composite deck, this space is deep enough to accommodate a chair, providing a pleasant spot for a coffee break with views of the garden.
The canopy and side cheeks elegantly frame the front elevation, and this detail, along with the choice of sliding doors and a desk-height window, creates a crisp, contemporary look.
Plastered and Decorated Interior
Inside, the new room offers the look and feel of a space in a newly built house. Miniature Manors provides a professionally plastered and decorated interior as standard but also offers alternative options, such as Birch Plywood for a more pared-back look, as demonstrated in this home office and gym project.
Miniature Manors provides a well-specified electrical package. In this instance, the owners opted to include air conditioning, enabling them to set their ideal working temperature all year round.
As part of their turnkey service, Miniature Manors manages the final connection between your house and the garden room, ensuring you can start using your new room immediately as they leave the site.
