Bridge Garden Rooms have recently built this good sized garden office based on their Derwent Range. The Derwent has a striking form with a corner of glazing and covered veranda area on the front elevation.
The Derwent garden room is built on a SIP’s (Structural Insulated Panel) core which means it is highly insulated, for comfortable year round use. The building is fully wired electrically, meaning the owners could just move their furniture and equipment in and start work.
We like the combination of materials Bridge Garden Rooms have chosen for the exterior of the building. They have mixed the popular Western Red Cedar cladding with an innovative sheet material product called Trespa. Trespa has been widely used in commercial buildings for many years and is now being adopted by garden room designers like Bridge. The engineered board comes in a wide range of colours, is highly durable – scratch and impact resistant. It is also a low maintenance choice that is easy to keep clean.
The combination of the natural cedar cladding and the Trespa sheet material is striking, creating a real feature of the veranda area.
The Derwent range of garden rooms starts at £12,220 plus VAT for a 3 meter by 3 meter building.
