We’ve seen garages converted into garden offices, but we haven’t seen a new build garden office and garage under one roof before. It is this combination that Executive Garden Rooms have recently designed and built for a client.
Executive Garden Rooms are bespoke garden room designers meaning they will design a building that meets the customers specific needs. This building has clearly been designed to suit the customer.
Sometimes it can be difficult to combine two distinct uses into one building, but the Executive team have done well here. The long building is 9.25m x 4m and has been clad in one material and the same doors and windows have been used in both sections to give the appearance of one complete building.
The project required both Planning Permission and Building Control applications. The Executive Garden Rooms team are experienced in handling the requirements of both departments.
As you can see the building is situated tight to the boundary. Building Regulation compliant Cedral Weatherboarding has been used to allow this. This is a fire retardant cladding which is also very durable and comes in a wide palette of colours.
The garage section of the building has an electric door which is fitted with an alarm. The concrete floor has been sealed with a very jazzy epoxy floor paint and is durable enough to park cars on.
All Executive Garden Rooms are fully wired with lights and electrical sockets, wifi etc so the office section of the build was ready to start work in as soon as the building was complete.
