Working with the Timber Rooms designers, they chose to create a 5.3m x 3.5m meter building that would be divided into two rooms, each with their own external access.

Low maintenance external finishes
A contemporary dark grey composite cladding was chosen for the exterior of the building. Composite wood cladding has become popular in garden room design, as it offers a long, maintenance-free lifespan. The pre-coloured boards will not fade and don't require painting to stay looking good. Choosing a composite wood finish, you can be sure assured that your building will maintain its new appearance with little effort on your part.
The composite wood cladding has been mixed with dark grey uPVC doors and windows. The configuration of the doors and windows has been tailored to the client's needs. A large casement window has been positioned above one of the desks, and a corner of floor to ceiling glazing has been created alongside the other desk. This glazed corner incorporates the door into the office.
High spec interior finishes
Inside the garden office has been finished to a high specification. The walls and ceiling have been plastered and decorated. Underfloor heating has been fitted under the wood flooring. Underfloor heating is an excellent option in situations like this as it ensures a comfortably warm room, and also free's up wall space for furniture and storage.
The choice of finishes have created an office with a wonderfully light, modern feel.
Secret bike store
At the rear of the building, a 1.5m x 3.5m bike store has been created. While the office has a high spec plastered and decorated interior, the bike store has pared down, practical and durable finishes. The room has been kitted out with storage shelves and racks for storing bikes.
