Many a successful business is run from a garden office. This is because they can be tailored around the specific needs of the business. Garden Spaces created this bespoke garden office with kitchen around the needs of their client, a successful florist who wanted a space to meet with clients and for staff to be able to work comfortably.
A quick look at the key features of this garden office with kitchen
At 5m wide by 3.8m deep, this is not a huge building, but it packs a lot of punch into each square meter!
Garden Spaces clients wanted to create a professional workroom where they could comfortably meet with clients. They also wanted to incorporate a well-equipped kitchen and have the added convenience of a shower room.
The Garden Spaces team have cleverly created an internal layout that meets all these requirements, without making the spaces seem cramped.
Garden office with L-shaped kitchen
A key feature of this office is the well-equipped L-shaped kitchen. It shows how a modern kitchen can be successfully incorporated into a garden office. Garden Spaces handle the connections needed for the water and waste for their kitchens and shower rooms, as part of their overall service they offer to clients. So, a Garden Spaces office with kitchen is a turnkey solution to move in and start work.
Climate control for comfortable garden office working
Garden Spaces use structurally insulated panels (SIP's) to build their garden offices. This system, coupled with performance double glazing means their buildings are highly insulated for comfortable year-round use, as standard.
So that the floristry team can control the optimal temperature for working, all year round, a climate control system was installed. This is a two-part unit. One unit sits discreetly outside the office, often hidden from view next to a side or rear wall. The other unit is positioned high up on one interior wall. In this case, it has been fitted in the kitchen. The sleek system does not look out of place, amongst the kitchen units.
Bijou, but well-equipped shower room
The garden office also features a shower room. It is one of the most bijou shower rooms we've seen but is still fully functional and beautifully detailed.
The contemporary toilet and basin sit at one end of the room with a shower cubical at the other. We love the grey tiling and shower fittings!
Grey exterior cladding
The exterior of the garden office is as striking as the interior thanks to the grey cladding, which was chosen to match the colour of the company branding.
Garden Spaces offer a wide palette of exterior options. In this case, highly durable Larch cladding has been factory coated with a specialist finish called Sivalbp. The customers chose a shade called Galet 403.
Sivalbp is a French product that offers high quality, environmentally friendly coating process, that results in a finish that is highly durable and aesthetically pleasing.
The grey cladding has been mixed with darker grey doors and windows. The powder-coated Aluminium frames are, in fact, RAL7021.
The darker grey finish has been used on the returns of the shallow porch detail leading into the office. This adds to the character of the contemporary building. Recessed downlights have been fitted above the doors, and will create a striking curtain of light.
A turnkey service by Garden Spaces
Garden Spaces handled the whole project on their client's behalf, from initial designs and managing the planning application process. Installing the foundations and building itself. Right through to the finishing details like decoration and connecting the kitchen and shower room to the mains services and getting them signed off by Building Control.
So, once they hand over the keys, your new workroom is ready to use.
