A small kitchen area is actually a very sensible thing to design into your garden room, particularly if you are using the space as an office, but would also be useful in an artists studio or gym, when making a drink or washing out brushes would be an advantage.
Its also a good addition for future proofing your garden room, as it opens up other possible uses for the space. If you were to add a kitchenette and a w/c or shower room you would be able to create a truly self contained building.
