If you are looking for a garden pod that you can use as a home office, gym, creative studio and much more then you will want to explore the Hully Pod range The three Hully Pods models each offer an attractive price point and numerous options to personalise your pod. Available for delivery across mainland UK, Hully Pods are delivered fully assembled and are lifted into position using the lorry's crane. They require a firm, flat, level site and come complete with a 16A electrical hookup, enabling quick and easy usage.
With a maximum height of 2.3m the Hully Pod is Permitted Development friendly.
Garden pod constructed using boat-building techniques
Aidan, the founder of Hully Pods, initially designed his first pod as a glamping unit, reimagining a boat's hull and utilising marine materials and boat-building techniques. Today, each pod is carfeully crafted at the Hully Pods workshops located along the River Itchen near Southampton by a team of skilled craftspeople.
The distinctive feature of the Hully Pod is its curved outer shell, constructed from highly durable fibreglass. You can select from a broad palette of colours or opt for a custom colour at an additional cost. The interior of the fibreglass shell is lined with double-sided reflective foil insulation and covered with pine tongue-and-groove panelling. This finish continues the nautical feel and could be painted if you so wish.
A decked step leads to the glazed front door. During the configuration process, you can select the colour of the uPVC door frame and whether to add a window to the rear elevation, with various sizes available. Glazing on both the front and rear ensures the Hully Pod is naturally light. On the Skipjack and Schooner models, a fully glazed front elevation is an option.
Hully Pods come in three sizes:
- Dory: 2.4m wide X 1.2m deep X 2.3m tall
- Office version available with built-in desk and storage - Skipjack: 2.4m wide X 3m deep X 2.3m tall
- Value Pod option available for a steep discount
- Glass-front version available
- Bundle option comes with a two-person hot tub - Schooner: 2.4m wide X 4.2m deep X 2.3m tall
- Glass-front version available
Plug in and start using your garden pod
Each Hully Pod is pre-wired with a 16A hookup for easy electrical connection. The basic electrical pack includes a twin 13A power socket, but the Mains Pack offers an additional socket, a light, a switch, the choice of hookup side, and other options.
You can also opt to power your Hully Pod off-grid with the Solar Pack, which includes a solar panel, a leisure battery, an LED light, and other features.
Eco-friendly garden pod option
The shell of the Hully Pod is constructed from recycled plastic bottles, a sustainable choice that utilises over a thousand 500ml plastic bottles for each Skipjack Pod and over three hundred for every Dory Pod, with more than 1,300 used in each Schooner Pod. This innovation helps prevent plastic waste from entering our oceans.
