This contemporary Cedar clad garden room by Bridge Garden Rooms is a nice twist on the traditional L-shaped layout. With other L-shaped designs we have featured you have two 'wings' creating a big building that can dominate a garden. With this bespoke design, the Bridge team have used wrap-around glazing to create the L-shaped configuration, creating a building with a lot of character.

Look closely, and you will spot a secret door
The L-shaped building is divided to create two separate rooms. The larger space is a plastered and decorated room, designed for comfortable year-round use. The smaller room is a secret storage room.
The entrance to the storage shed is hard to see; the Bridge team have taken great care to match the Cedar cladding on the door in with that on the greater wall. Their choice of the Cedar boards showcases the beauty of the different shades of Cedar.
Wrap-around glazing detail
We are very taken with the wrap-around floor to ceiling glazing on the front wall, which gives the garden room its L-shape. The use of bi-fold doors means the whole wall of glazing folds back to one side, offering free-flowing movement between the room and the Cedar decking.
The roof eaves detail which flows into being a deep canopy over the doors, adds a lot of interest to the building and accentuates the L-shape. The dark grey fascia offers a sharp contemporary contrast to the natural Cedar cladding.
Exterior grade downlights have been fitted in the eaves and canopy detail. As we can see from this second Instagram post, they create a great look at night.

Bespoke deck
Part of the success of this project is the way the bespoke deck connects the garden room with the larger garden. The Bridge Garden Rooms team will work closely with you on design details like this.
