Every garden room buyer has a wishlist for their new building: its size, the shape, the layout of the doors and windows, and the design features they want to incorporate. There is also the hope of how this new space is going to serve its intended use.
Often, a standard design garden room is not going to tick everything off the wishlist. You'd be better suited to working with a company like Timeless Garden Rooms who offer a made to measure service. They are well known in the industry for their characterful traditional-style buildings, but alongside this work, they also offer a range of stylish contemporary garden rooms.
Whether you are thinking of a small garden office or a large multi-room annexe, the Timeless Garden Rooms team take the time to understand what you want to use your new room for, and the features you want to include. For this reason, no two Timeless Garden Rooms are exactly the same.
These two projects show how each Timeless Garden Rooms building is made to measure for its owner:
5m x 3.7m home office
This wonderful garden office was designed for a couple who work from home. The customer is an interior designer, who naturally had very clear ideas of what they wanted the interior space to look like. They also had exacting requirements to ensure the inside of the building was suitable for their business needs. You can explore Alison's work on Instagram.
The Timeless Garden Rooms designer spent time with their clients to truly understand these requirements, and were happy to tailor the specification of the garden office to ensure it met the interior design brief.
The resulting 5m x 3.7m garden office, with its beautifully tiled Cedar shingle roof, looks lovely from the outside, and moving inside the space has a real wow factor!
The pitched roofline creates a wonderful vaulted ceiling. This has been finished with tongue & groove cladding. The walls have an attractive wood panelling detail, and the wooden floor has been fitted in a herringbone pattern. The neutral colour palette mixed with the vaulted ceiling allows the light to bounce around the room.
The garden office has been fitted with cast iron radiators, which we think look fantastic. It shows how the Timeless Garden Rooms team can tailor each element of the specification to your specific requirements.
Timeless Garden Rooms completed this project on a turnkey basis. This service included obtaining planning approval because the house is within a Heritage Zone. The Timeless team handled the ground clearance and installed the foundation system before installing the building. Before leaving the site, they connected the office up to the mains electrics. So, all their clients had to do was move their furniture in, and start work.

L-shaped home office with storage
The second Timeless Garden Rooms project we have to share today, shows how their made to measure service is ideal if you want to create a garden room that serves multiple needs.
Because the property sits on historic Henry VIII land, the Timeless team worked closely with their clients and the Planning Department, to ensure the design was approved.
The garden room is L-shape to suit the layout of the boundaries of the garden. The building has a footprint of 28sqm, split into two rooms with mezzanine storage. In addition, a gazebo was designed to cover a hot tub, and a wood store was built.
Because of the historic location, a low impact foundation system was chosen. This is another example of how the Timeless Garden Rooms team, are able to tailor the specification to the needs of each customer.
Because of their made to measure approach to garden room design, Timeless Garden Rooms are able to approach each project on its own merits. They are able to meet the requirements of Local Authorities, and leave their customers with a building that ticks off all the items on their wishlist.
