For a long time, Garden Spaces have offered a range of timber cladding options for the exterior of their garden rooms, they have also offered a crisp rendered finishes.
We now hear that Garden Spaces are offering the option of mixing and matching different exterior finishes on their contemporary garden room designs.
In this example, the 5m x 4.2m garden room Western Red Cedar cladding is mixed with a crisply rendered corner that has been colour matched with the doors and windows, creating a sharply detailed corner to the building.
Garden Spaces are using a polymer render system for their garden rooms. Polymer renders are cement based with selected polymers added to the mix, as well a silicon which will repel water from the surface while still letting the render breathe.
Polymer renders come in a wide palette of colours, so Garden Spaces can closely match the render with the colour of the doors and windows, creating this crisp look. The render has colour pigments mixed in at the time of application so won’t require painting, making this a low maintenance choice.
You could get very creative with this option of mixing and matching cladding finishes and create a building that stands out from the crowd.
Interestingly, Garden Spaces have recently added a new timber cladding option to their range – Grey Siberian Larch which as the name suggests has a contemporary grey colouring. The Larch boards have been impregnated with resins so that they will weather evenly. This cladding has an estimated lifespan of 50 years, so makes a great long term investment.
