Modulr.Space is a new company born out of the COVID-19 pandemic by long-established FDArchitecture. The FDArchitecture team, addressing the 'new normal' of working from home, have created a garden office that mixes ergonomic and energy efficient design with sustainable materials that stand the test of time with little maintenance.
Garden offices designed for business
Modulr.Space have designed their Small Space range with business in mind. The Modul M1 and the slightly bigger Modul M2, have been designed to be tax-efficient for both company and employee. Because they are classed as untethered structures, they will be eligible for 100% deduction under the plant & machinery allowances, in most cases. Additionally, if used solely for the employers' business use, there is no taxable benefit in kind for the employee.
The Modulr.Space range is the ideal choice for companies who now have employees working from home during the pandemic, and who visualise remote working or a mix of home and office working in the future.
The Modul M1 and Modul M2 have been designed to meet current Health & Safety rules. The integrated desk ensures an ergonomically correct working position. Cable routes have been considered too, to avoid trip hazards, etc.
The offices offer both good natural light and artificial light; they are supplied with heating and designed to provide adequate ventilation. Soundproofing has been incorporated into the structure to reduce sound transmission for quiet working.
The garden offices have a short lead time of around 4 weeks, and can be fully installed in just one day. Leaving them ready to start work in straight away.
They are delivered in sections for easy assembly, and interestingly, can be dismantled and moved to a new location in the future. The Small Space range comes with its own foundation system, so no concrete base is required before installation.
Sustainable garden office design
The Modulr.Space range has been designed with a low carbon footprint. Environmentally sound materials such as SIP's - structural insulated panels are mixed with EPDM, Accoya, expanded cork and recycled plastics.
Not only do these materials look great, but they will also stand the test of time with little maintenance.
