Is one new room enough for your needs? Maybe you need a home office but would like your own gym or music room too. Well, you could choose a multi-room garden room design, whereby you could have two different uses under one well-designed roof.
Modulr Space offers both two and three room garden buildings, they are also working on a concept for Modular Homes.
Two room garden rooms
Modulr Space's H+H design has an overall external footprint of 8.05m x 3.05m. The building is divided into two equally sized rooms, each offering 7.4m² of floor space.
The front elevation of the H+H M7 design is features glazing to each of the individual spaces. Each room features a large floor to ceiling window offering views of the garden beyond. A pair of corner opening sliding doors form dramatic and useful entrances. The passageway between the two rooms gives a visual focus and access to garden behind the structure. It also acts as a way of getting better natural ventilation to each of the rooms.
Each room has its own entrance, the doors offering privacy between the two spaces. But, push the doors open, and it is easy to move between the rooms.
The layout of the H+H M7 building lends itself to so many possible uses. For instance, a home working couple could each have their own office. Alternatively, you could have one room for work and one for play - say, a music room, gym or games room.
Three room garden rooms or MORE?!
Modulr Space also offers a three room building call the H+H+Theirs. The H+H+T M9 has three equally sized rooms laid out in a unique T-shaped configuration.
Like the H+H M7 design, each room features a wall of floor to ceiling glazing. A communal space connects the three rooms - Modulr Space can customise this communal area for your specific needs.
As we can see from these images, the H+H+T M9 looks amazing and could be a striking focal point for a garden.
Designed to be comfortable and to last
Modulr Space buildings are designed for comfortable year-round use. Highly insulated SIP's form the core structure. These, combined with natural ventilation systems and energy-efficient heating options, ensure you will be able to use your room comfortably on both the hottest and coldest days of the year.
The H+H M7 and H+H+T M9 buildings are built to last. The core structure has a 20-year warranty. All Modulr Space structures are built with sustainability in mind. The materials used are extremely sustainable and are selected for their long lifespan. We use ground screw foundations, so there is no concrete in our designs. The materials we use include Accoya cladding used on the exterior of the buildings comes with a 25-year warranty, Expanded Cork is also used extensively on our structures and is carbon negative, the glazing is from SUNFLEX UK and the frames are aluminium, the roof is covered in EPDM roof and has a 20-year warranty.
The H+H+T M9 unit lends itself well to fitness and leisure. Here is a scheme put together by Modulr Space Ltd for a wellness centre with a pool running through the structure and the individual rooms being used for meditation, gym equipment and changing room / shower room.
