Many people buy a garden room for use as a home office or gym, but they can also be used for more sociable pastimes.
Bespoke garden room designers Swift created this stylish outdoor entertainment room in close collaboration with their client, who approached them with a clear brief for his room. He wanted a room, separate from the house where he could entertain.
6m x 3.5m outdoor entertainment space
A 6m wide by 3.5m deep garden room was decided upon. It maximises the space available near the house.
We so often see garden rooms positioned at the end of the garden, so it is refreshing to see the positioning of this building. It is a separate building, rather than a house extension but close enough to the house so that bringing out food and drink is effortless.
It is a testament to the Swift teams eye for detail how they have blended the new features of the garden room with the existing terrace. The way the decked veranda of the new building dovetails into the paving is rather neat.
Outdoor dining for 14
Over the years, we have featured several outdoor dining rooms, including this fantastic indoor-outdoor entertainment room that the Swift team completed last year.
With this latest project, the 6m x 3.5m room houses a dining table big enough to seat 14 people.
With two sets of aluminium bi-fold doors, large sections of the walls fold back to open the dining room out on to the terrace. This lends itself to a very convivial time with friends.
Highly insulated for year-round use
Swift Garden Rooms utilise structural insulated panels - SIP's for the core structure of their buildings.
These panels create not only a strong core structure but also a highly insulated one. Coupled with performance double glazing in the bi-fold doors, Swift buildings are designed for comfortable year-round use.
High-spec interior finish
As we can see from these images, the interior of the outdoor dining room has a crisp modern interior.
The Swift team offer a plastered and decorated interior finish, as standard.
Swift rooms have a well-specified electrical specification that includes power outlets with USB charging points and LED downlights both internally and externally. All electrical fittings have brushed steel finishes, completing the contemporary look.
