Pent Haus kits stand out in the market
The garden room kits from Pent Haus stand out from their competitors. While many kits use cover strips to hide panel joints, Pent Haus utilises advanced CNC technology for cutting their SIP panels. This ensures invisible joints, creating a building with a sleek, modern aesthetic.
Another unique feature of Pent Haus kits is the engineering of the SIP panels. They are designed so that all electrics are concealed within the wall structure, mirroring conventional household electrics. In contrast, other garden room kits often feature surface-mounted electrics, which can detract from the room's appearance.
Pent Haus offers DIY garden rooms in a range of sizes, with widths ranging from 3m to 5.4m and depths from 2.6m to 3.8m. Their online configurator facilitates rapid customisation of your garden room kit, tailoring it to your specific needs.
On the Pent Haus website, you will discover a wider range of configuration options than what is typically offered by other garden room kit companies. For instance, you have the choice between the contemporary cubed roofline of the Astana, or the Abri, which features a 60cm deep canopy detail along the front elevation. Additionally, while offering several door and window configurations for the front wall, Pent Haus sets itself apart by allowing the addition of various window styles to the side elevations.
Pent Haus stands out in the self-build garden room kit market by offering the option to add a partition wall, allowing you to divide the floor plan according to your needs. This feature is ideal for those wishing to create a discreet storage area within their garden room. To explore this option further, you can book a free design consultation with the Pent Haus team.
Nationwide Availability and Support
With 15 years of experience, Pent Haus crafts their garden rooms in their mid-Wales workshops, harnessing CNC machinery for precision. Their resulting SIP panels provide optimal insulation levels for year-round comfort and an easy assembly process which takes two people three days to complete.
Pent Haus offers nationwide delivery within 3 weeks of ordering. On the day of delivery, one person is needed to receive the delivery, with the delivery team offering assistance in offloading.
Each garden room kit comes with a detailed assembly manual. For added support, instructional videos are available, and their dedicated team is just a phone call away. Kits include the floor, walls, and roof structures. The low-maintenance exterior cladding is already in place on the walls. uPVC double-glazed doors and windows, and EPDM roof covering are included. Depending on your choices, the kit might also come with your chosen interior lining, foundation system, and electrical pack. Essential screws, foams, and adhesives are also part of the package.
Long-lasting, low-maintenance garden rooms
Pent Haus has designed their garden room kits for year-round use with minimal upkeep. When configuring your kit, there's an option to select Pent Haus's specialist foundation system. This combines recycled plastic composite posts which you set in concrete with a stainless steel frame—guaranteed against rot or rust and easy to level. This system elevates the insulated floor structure, allowing air circulation below.
The exterior walls are finished with ToughWood™—a durable and dimensionally stable engineered wood board. The vertical groove pattern of ToughWood™ creates a building with a chic, contemporary feel. Pent Haus offers ToughWood™ in six pre-selected colours but they also offer custom colours.
The insulated roof structure is finished with a one-piece EPDM membrane, eliminating joint-related leaks. Its durability promises a long, maintenance-free lifespan. Completing the roof are Plastisol-coated kerbs that match the door and window frames in colour. The uPVC doors and windows included in the kit feature double-glazing, ensuring comfort throughout the year.

Interior Finishes
Internally, Pent Haus offers the option of vertical tongue & groove panelling, you will find this in the 'Options' section of the kit configurator tool. As the image below shows, this finish creates a stylish backdrop to your furnishings.
If you prefer a different internal finish, such as a plasterboarded and skimmed room, Pent Haus kits offer the flexibility to specify the kit without the interior lining.
Pent Haus manufactures their kits with CNC machinery, so everything is pre-cut for you and ready for installation. They have designed their interior finishes so that all joints in the wall panels remain concealed, providing a superior, streamlined appearance compared to other kits that rely on using cover strips to hide joints.
When configuring your Pent Haus garden room, you can choose to add the electrical pack which includes the cabling and sockets for the room. As mentioned, Pent Haus have designed their SIP panels so the electric cables are hidden within the wall structure and the sockets sit flush on the walls. The price for the electrical package is clearly listed in the ‘Options’ section of the design configurator.
You would need to engage a qualified electrician to connect the garden room's electrics to your house and issue you with a Part P certificate.
