Since its launch in 2020, the Logic by Crusoe Garden Rooms has become a popular choice with buyers looking for a large garden room. At 28sqm, it is one of the biggest outdoor rooms you can build before needing to comply with Building Regulations. At 2.5m tall, the Crusoe Logic is also Permitted Development friendly.
We featured one of the first Crusoe Logic buildings back in 2020, and the range has gone from strength to strength since then. The Crusoe Logic is 8m wide by 3.5m deep. Such a spacious room lends itself to so many different uses or, with some zoning, more than one use. Crusoe Garden Rooms tell us they have recently built a Logic next to a swimming pool as an entertainment space.
Garden room with lots of windows
The Crusoe Logic has an attractive door and window configuration. Patio doors are positioned in the centre of the front elevation, flanked on either side by tall windows; the symmetry of this glazing arrangement is very pleasing, as we can see from these photos. Further tall windows are positioned on each side wall, framing views of the garden.
The expanse of glazing ensures a naturally light interior space. Crusoe Garden Rooms offer a plastered and decorated interior finish that is mixed with durable laminate flooring to create a room akin to a new build house.
Crusoe Garden Rooms are designed for comfortable year-round use. The multi-layer core structure includes insulation to ensure the space is warm in winter and cool in summer. For the coldest days of the year, an electric radiator is fitted as part of the well-specified electrical package.
Cedar garden rooms
As standard, Crusoe Garden Rooms use Western Red Cedar for the exterior of their buildings. Cedar is one of the most aesthetically attractive cladding options for a garden room. Its natural reddish-brown colour mixes well with dark grey door and window frames for a contemporary finish.
Western Red Cedar also has a long life span with natural durability against rot and fungal attack.
Recently, the owners of one of the first Logic garden rooms contacted the Crusoe team for a refresher on maintaining the colour of their Cedar cladding. Crusoe Garden Rooms recommend a coat of a clear preservative available from any DIY outlet.
